This blog will be where I share my thoughts and research on Democratic candidates in Virginia and also on their opposition. Having seen some of these candidates in action, I'm looking for a few honest candidates. I pledge to point out the inconsistencies, outright mistruths and glaring omissions in the information I find while doing research--whether those are local candidates, candidates for Congressional offices, Democrats or Republicans.
One of the best things about living in the country is watching the seasons change and observing the cycle of life all around us. The flowers are blooming, the garden is growing and tonight...the lightning bugs have returned.

A divorced mother of two, I have lived in the Southside Virginia area for 22 years. I have taught (agriculture, horticulture, special education, and computer literacy) at all levels in the public school system and for the Virginia community college system as well. I am president of my local education association, treasurer of an investment club, and a member of my local Democratic committee. I find myself becoming more active in politics all the time. This is mostly because I am tired of people in the public eye who are not honest with their constituents--on all levels of government (including, at times, the public school system). The Internet has leveled the playing field for all citizens by bringing information and research to the computer desktop. Use it to find out more about your candidates, government officials, and their positions on the issues that matter to you--and then use that information to make a difference.
