No Trolls Allowed
I hate trolls—unless, of course, you’re talking about those plastic ones with the wild hair that my sister collects. I’m referring to blog trolls—those people who come on web logs and write comments (usually anonymously). They either attack the person posting or their ideas, often without providing any documentation to the contrary.
As I was reading Waldo’s site this morning, I figured out why I have not changed this blog to allow anonymous comments to my postings: you could end up spending too much time dealing with someone who obviously has a personal axe of some kind to grind. I had considered allowing anonymous comments and had even discussed the pros and cons of making the change with friends. But I already have too much research to do and little enough time to do that. So, no trolls allowed!
By the way, congratulations to Harry Landers on having a son like Waldo. I’d be proud to admit to having a son who stands up for his own rights and those of others as well.
And thanks for the link to the Urban Dictionary, Waldo. It’s a riot!
